Collaborating with the Drug Users Resource Centre, Farm ran 4 successful months of cannabis programming. We covered topics of anxiety management and how cannabis use could either exacerbate or alleviate symptoms, safe dosage of extracts and edibles for chronic pain sufferers, the health benefits of non-psychoactive components to cannabis and also hosted industry professionals to describe how they approached cannabis from an entrepreneurial lens. These seminars were meant to inspire, clarify and provide a platform to talk openly about lifestyle, addiction and alternative approaches to healthcare. This was quickly identified as a harm-reduction approach to supportive services and many attendees shared their personal stories of how cannabis could be (and had been!) used as an aid in detox efforts and managing some of the chronic issues of pain, depression or anxiety that often lead to over-medication and relapses.
